Okay I’m just gonna lay it all out here.
First of all, a huge issue for me is the amount of hypocrisy Tumblr’s community has. I feel like there’s too much hate towards other websites, (especially towards Facebook) and the people who use it. Too many times have I seen users becoming upset at the fact that others are discovering this website. They need to understand, Tumblr is foreveryone. I admit, even I had felt a little upset about certain people I know getting Tumblr in the past. I’m not following them, though, and because of that I realize it’s no big deal. It’s easy to block somebody, so if it’s such a big deal to have others not judge you, just don’t give out your Tumblr. It’s simple.
Like I was just reminded, don’t you all strive on being a “perfect non-hateful” community? There is so much racism and hate on this website it’s ridiculous. We constantly make fun of each other. And if you’re all so accepting and loving, why can’t you allow others on Facebook and other networking websites to come over? Aren’t most of YOU all facebookers too? Don’t say you don’t have one. You dirty hypocrites.
Another thing, I find Tumblr to be a very cocky society. The users are so full of themselves. Yes, I get it, you’re on Tumblr now, it’s fun, it’s whatever, but it doesn’t make you any better. (Also, Emily, note that I’m not talking to you directly. This is kind of like a general message to people of Tumblr.) I hate how we think we’re so much better than everyone, just because we blog pictures. Are you fucking kidding me? Sitting on your ass all day blogging pictures does not make anyone better than anyone else! When did you all join? How did you find out about Tumblr? Why should YOU be allowed to use this site, and not they? We were all newbies on this website at some point. I would assume a lot of you still are. Get the fuck off your high horse and learn you are not that great.
I also find, that a lot of people here are cliche. It’s like, we want to be called a Hipster, because that must make us “cool on Tumblr.” No it does not. It seems like everyone has to like Harry Potter, and cats, and owls and use stupid phrases like, “BRB DYING”, or “WHAT IS AIR?!”, just to be accepted here. That’s bullshit. You can dress up and listen to your indie music, but it doesn’t make you any better. I am so sick of people trying to act like what we see on this site. A few months ago someone told me they hated cats, now I see them constantly blogging pictures of cats. Because that’s what Tumblr has decided is the “cool thing to do.” Liking owls, and taking pictures of trees, it doesn’t make you creative and original. It makes you just like all the other bitches on Tumblr.
I also hate the “jokes” on this site. Sometimes, people take shit way too fucking far.

This. This is what I’m talking about. Are you fucking kidding me, Tumblr? People died on 9/11. I don’t care if you hate The United States, I don’t care if you hate New York or G.W Bush, I don’t give two fucks about that. People died on that day. Their families went through so much and you do THIS? This kind of disaster should not be made fun of. Your laughs and jokes about this make me sick, it’s inhumane if you ask me.
And what about your ordeal with Omegle? I partook for maybe 5 minuets, until I felt ashamed and embarrassed. Why are you all so proud of being obnoxious little fucks, harassing other websites to get followers? (This just goes right back to the fact that Tumblr thinks it’s better than everyone else.) What about the people who actually wanted to have a decent conversation? It lasted what, two days? Shit, now that’s annoying.
Tumblr.. isn’t fun for me anymore. I just can’t stand to be here. Why is it that posts make me cringe now? I can’t go a day without being pissed off about something I see here. Like it or not, until you all learn to get the fuck over yourselves, I’m finding a new website.
And like I said, Emily, I was not directing this to you. Though I’m glad you asked, it was nice to write this all out.
